As a Data Engineer II, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and assisting with the architecture, infrastructure, and tools required for efficient and scalable data storage, processing, retrieval, and analysis. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, ensuring data quality and security, and implementing scalable solutions to support business needs. The primary focus is on creating robust and reliable systems that enable organizations to collect, store, and retrieve data for various business purposes.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust, scalable, and efficient data architecture solutions.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and business objectives.
- Develop and maintain data models for optimal storage, retrieval, and analytical processing.
- Implement and optimize database schema and structures.
- Integrate data from various sources, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and reliability.
- Design and implement ETL/ELT processes to move and transform data as needed.
- Manage and optimize databases for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Implement and maintain data security measures.
- Work with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
- Implement solutions for processing and analyzing large volumes of data.
- Implement and enforce data quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including analysts and software engineers, to address data-related challenges.
- Provide technical expertise and support to other teams as needed.
- Document data architecture, processes, and solutions for knowledge sharing and future reference.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3 years proven experience as a data engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
- Experience with big data technologies and frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Proficient in ETL/ELT processes and tools.
- Familiarity with data modeling and design principles.
- Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, Java) for data manipulation and transformation.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Preferred Skills
- Experience with orchestration tools (e.g., AirFlow, Prefect, Azure CycleCloud)
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and tools.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with event-driven architecture
